Celebry — Celebrity Lookalike App
Last updated: February 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Odin Studio ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Celebry mobile application ("the App"). By using Celebry, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you use Celebry to find your celebrity lookalike, you provide photos either by taking a selfie with your device camera or selecting an image from your photo library. These photos are uploaded to our cloud storage (Firebase Cloud Storage by Google) for processing and analysis.
Celebry collects and processes face data exclusively from photos you voluntarily provide through the App. The face data we collect includes:
Why we store face data: Face data is collected and stored for two specific purposes: (1) to perform AI-powered celebrity lookalike analysis by comparing your facial features against publicly available celebrity images, and (2) to allow you to view your past analysis results on the App's home screen, where your original photo is displayed alongside your celebrity matches. Your uploaded photo is stored as an encrypted image URL on our servers solely for these purposes.
How long we store face data: Your uploaded photos and all associated face data are automatically deleted from our servers after 30 days from the date of upload. We retain face data for 30 days because this provides a reasonable window for you to revisit and review your analysis results. After 30 days, your photos and face data are permanently and automatically removed from our servers. You may also delete all your face data at any time before the 30-day period by using the "Delete My Data" option in the App's Settings screen, which immediately and permanently removes all your photos, face data, and analysis results.
Important: Celebry does not access or use Face ID, TrueDepth camera data, ARKit face tracking, or any biometric identification templates. We do not create biometric identifiers or facial geometry maps. The App only processes standard photographs that you choose to upload.
Face data is used solely for the purpose of comparing your facial features against publicly available celebrity images to determine visual similarity — an entertainment feature. Face data is never used for identification, authentication, surveillance, advertising, or any purpose other than providing the celebrity lookalike comparison service.
We collect a unique device identifier (iOS Vendor ID) to associate your analyses with your device. This identifier is used solely for providing the service and maintaining your analysis history. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information.
When you perform a celebrity lookalike analysis, we store the results including celebrity match names, similarity scores, facial attribute comparisons (face shape, eye color, facial features), and timestamps. This data is linked to your device identifier.
If you subscribe to Celebry Unlimited, your payment and subscription information is handled entirely by Apple (via the App Store) and RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not directly collect or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or billing information.
We collect basic usage data such as onboarding completion status and analysis history to improve your experience within the App.
Before each analysis, Celebry clearly discloses on the analysis screen that your photo will be uploaded to our servers and analyzed by Google Gemini AI. By proceeding with the analysis, you consent to this data processing. A link to this Privacy Policy is provided directly on the analysis screen for your review. If you do not wish to share your photo, you can simply cancel without any data being sent.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Celebry uses the following third-party services to operate:
Third-party face data storage: None of the third-party services listed above store your face data. Google Gemini AI processes your photo in real time and does not retain any face data after the analysis is complete. Firebase Cloud Storage holds your encrypted photo URL for the 30-day retention period described in Section 6, after which it is automatically deleted. RevenueCat and Wikipedia do not receive or process any face data.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies. All third-party services we use provide appropriate data protection measures.
Your photos and analysis data are stored on secure cloud servers (Firebase Cloud Storage and MongoDB). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Photos and face data: Your uploaded photos and all associated face data (including facial imagery and facial attribute comparisons) are automatically deleted from our servers 30 days after the date of upload. We chose a 30-day retention period because it provides a reasonable window for you to revisit your analysis results while ensuring that face data is not stored indefinitely.
Analysis results: Non-biometric analysis metadata (celebrity match names, similarity scores, and timestamps) may be retained for up to 30 days alongside your photo data. After the 30-day period, all data associated with that analysis — including the photo, face data, and results — is permanently deleted.
Early deletion: You may delete all your data at any time before the 30-day period expires by using the "Delete My Data" option in the App's Settings screen. Upon deletion, all your photos, face data, analysis results, and device data are immediately and permanently removed from our servers. You may also request data deletion by contacting us at the email address provided below, and we will remove your data within 30 days of your request.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information or photos to third parties. Your photos are shared only with our AI analysis provider (Google Gemini) for the sole purpose of performing the celebrity lookalike analysis. Face data and analysis results are not shared with any additional third parties beyond those listed in Section 4. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Celebry is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete such information.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below or use the in-app data deletion feature.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
